Community in Action
The Tucson Community Solar
Energy Fund (TCSEF) is a campaign to create community-wide support
for the solar energy alternative. It will also provide equipment
and advice for families of low and modest income who wish to
install solar appliances in their homes.
With more than 300 sun-filled
days a year, Arizona is a natural candidate for Solar Capital!
Whether generating electricity from photovoltaic panels, or hot
water from solar thermal collectors, the net result is a monthly
savings of money from the family budget.....plus dollars knocked
off the community energy bill.
TCSEF will campaign to raise
funds from individual, corporate and foundation sources, as well
as by community events benefiting the missions of the Fund. The
financial resources will be used to stimulate the spread of solar
energy within Habitat for Humanity, Primavera Builders and other
affordable housing projects.
