as a trade organization provides a degree of consumer protection
by helping to educate consumers. By maintaining and promoting high
standards and educating against sales practices, which are
considered unethical and harmful to our industry, we can assist
consumers in making the best decisions in purchasing
EDUCATION
Our industry has had serious
credibility problems with consumers due to the misuse of previous
tax credits. We still have problems with sales and service
practices that are counter productive to the industry overall.
ARISEIA provides consumers with information on solar products,
purchasing solar equipment, and tax credits that enable consumers
to make educated decisions about solar.
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
Consumers need to be aware of
both the economic and environmental benefits that solar energy can
provide. By maintaining relationships with environmental groups,
we can better elicit their support for our goals.
ARISEIA has become the voice
of Arizona's solar industry. Our industry is unique in the fact
that the benefits that we can provide Arizona are both economical
and environmental. Due to the fact that these benefits continue
for the life of the system, those benefits are there for years to
come.
Outwardly many potential
members may not realize the impact that our industry can have on
our state. This is just one of the reasons why we need a unified
voice. By becoming known as the voice of Arizona's solar industry,
we have had a much greater impact for furthering our industry than
at any time in the past.
CONSUMER SERVICES
The primary service that we as
an industry trade association can provide is consumer education. A
massive consumer education effort should be designed as an overall
marketing effort on behalf of the industry, with the beneficiaries
our

should be designed to compliment the marketing efforts of the
members of our organization. At the same time they should be
designed to combat against certain practices that are
counterproductive to our industry.
The objective of providing
consumer service is to insure that the consumers are protected.
Through education we can provide consumers with the information
that they need to educate themselves against the practices that
unethical companies and individuals have used in the past. While
ARISEIA may not be able to police the entire industry, we try to
forewarn consumers and insure that members of ARISEIA maintain the
highest ethical standards.
SOLAR HOTLINE
ARISEIA Solar Hotline provides
information to consumers on all aspects of solar energy. As a
member, your company will be included in the information provided
to consumers. |
